La Flor Dominicana Oro Tubo Natural No. 6 Cigar Review
La Flor Dominicana Oro Tubo Natural No. 6
Size: 54×6
I purchased and smoked this cigar at the Club Humidor on Huebner
Price that I paid = a little over $12.00
This cigar had very impressive packing. It would be a good cigar to give someone as a gift with the nice gold tube. The cigar comes with a piece of cedar wrapped around it to keep it fresh as you can see in the photos above.
I smoked this cigar with a bottle of water and an iced Americano from Starbucks (Black, no sugar or creamer).
One thing that I noticed from the start is that the cigar was very well constructed. The cap of the cigar was almost felt like a shell on my teeth. It was very durable, and don’t worry, it still had a good draw. I couldn’t get over how awesome the star cut that I made with my Colibri V-Cutter looked on this cigar. It was perfect!
From the beginning, the cigar was pretty medium-full bodied, but it wasn’t harsh at all. I could blow smoke through my nose with no problem and no spice. So far I couldn’t pick up on any specific flavor notes.
The burn was very even. You can see in the pictures that even at nearly the halfway mark, the cigar was burning perfectly even. Again, this cigar was put together very nicely.
The flavor of this cigar pretty much stayed the same all the way through. I couldn’t notice any significant changes as I smoked it towards the end.
The gold case it comes in would be handy if you want to carry it with you. You wouldn’t have to worry about having a travel humidor to carry it in. That’s nice because you can carry it in your pocket and not have to worry about breaking it. In conclusion, I would say this definitely falls into the medium-full bodied category and has a bold flavor. In my opinion, La Flor Dominicana has always made pretty strong cigars.
*Special Bonus* You can keep the gold tube (with the cedar inlay) and re-use it as a single carrier to carry other cigars with you from the house later on!
Overall Rating = GOOD
